The many shades of brown that leaves you enraged.
This makes me different though our bodies bleed the same.
Setting us up for blame and negativity to claim.
Placed in this stereotypical box forced to believe,
that it's not okay to just be me.
Upheld to fit every belief that you have, and setting us up when there is good in our path.
My beautiful is different because I refuse to believe,
the stereotypes and labels placed upon me.
My brown is beautiful and everyone should believe,
it's the best part of being me.
I'm capable of being who I want to be, even with the challenges placed before me.
